Despite Jordan Love’s knee and groin problems, the Green Bay Packers were in the top 10 offenses in terms of EPA per play, per pass, per rush last season. It didn’t help either that the receivers had trouble holding onto the ball and getting open against man coverage. However, if the Packers hope to have a genuine chance at contending for a Super Bowl in 2025, the entire team must make considerable progress.
“All of those men are competitive, in my opinion. This offseason, Ryan Mahaffey, the receiving coach for the Packers, stated, “We have discussions about what we need to improve on as we’ve gone through.” Because they are inherently competitive, those men realize that when my number is called, I want to position myself to be able to go out and aid my team. They take great pride in that, and I believe our team is driven by internal factors.”
After a dismal 2024 season, Green Bay should have hope that their receiving corps can recover. Jordan Love, however, is keen to increase the involvement of his starting tight end, so the passing game may soon have a new primary target.
Love told reporters on Tuesday that the offense’s primary focus going forward will be Tucker Kraft.
“Determining how to keep getting Tuck the ball is a major element of the strategy coming into this season. According to Zach Kruse of the Packers Wire, Love stated, “We want to get him as many touches as we can in a game.” He is a vibrant creator of plays. That will be the main focus.
Last season, Kraft caught 50 catches for 707 yards and seven touchdowns. While it was Luke Musgrave’s fourth game back from injury, he played 97% of the snaps in the Packers’ 22-10 Wild Card loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. In 2024, he was one of Green Bay’s most dependable playmakers, and his workload is only expected to grow in the future.
In order to help elevate Jordan Love and the rest of the offense, Kraft must become the best version of himself. The Packers have a sense of urgency to contend for a championship in 2025. He should see plenty of targets and let his talent handle the rest, if everything goes according to plan.
