Marcus Freeman, head coach of Notre Dame, has been selected the recipient of the prestigious Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year Award, which is given to the greatest coach in college football each year. Freeman defeated eight other nominees to win the award, cementing his status as one of the game’s greatest thinkers today.

The award, named after renowned Alabama coach Paul “Bear” Bryant, honours the coach who displays greatness on and off the field while leading his team to victory. Freeman’s honour comes after an exceptional season with the Fighting Irish, during which he led Notre Dame to a top-tier finish, overcoming various hurdles and establishing himself as an excellent leader.
