The Atlanta Falcons have formally revealed the numbers that the rookie class will wear this season, almost two weeks after the draft. Jalon Walker, a first-round selection, will continue to play at No. 11, the same number he dominated at the University of Georgia. That figure, though, is quite important in Atlanta.
Julio Jones was the last notable player to wear the number eleven uniform for the Atlanta Falcons. Perhaps Walker can follow in his footsteps, as he went on to have a remarkable career with the franchise. There is little doubt that a linebacker career that is comparable to what Jones did in his prime would be something exceptional.
Given that they didn’t anticipate Walker falling so far in the first round, the entire organization was ecstatic to choose him. However, one player in particular was overjoyed to find out who his club selected in the first round, as AJ Terrell said he was looking forward to playing with Walker.
Terrell stated on the Waterboyz Show, “If we don’t value anything more than anything, we value D line, which is one thing about the back end, a safety a corner.” “Those who will approach the quarterback. It simplifies your work. I often tell folks that they will look like All Pro with the front and that you can have the most embarrassing corner and the most embarrassing safety in the back. I’m really happy that those two pieces have been added to the defense. “Let’s get it” was the text message I sent to Jalon [Walker}], who was the first to get drafted, so I’m positive I sent it.
