BLEACH REPORT: Elon Musk Wants to Rename Boston Red Sox’s Fenway Park to Tesla Field and Redesign Jerseys in Exchange for Long-Term Sponsorship — Alex Cora Says No, For This Reason…

REPORT: Elon Musk Proposes Renaming Fenway Park to “Tesla Field,” Redesigning Red Sox Jerseys – Alex Cora Responds Strongly

In one of the most surprising

sponsorship proposals in recent sports history, Elon Musk — CEO of Tesla and SpaceX — has reportedly approached the Boston Red Sox with a bold offer: rename the historic Fenway Park to “Tesla Field” and revamp the team’s iconic uniforms in exchange for a long-term, multimillion-dollar sponsorship deal.

Sources familiar with the discussions say Musk’s team pitched a 20-year agreement that would include full Tesla branding throughout the stadium, Tesla charging stations integrated into parking areas, digital upgrades, and uniform redesigns featuring sleek, futuristic designs — complete with the Tesla logo prominently displayed.

But Red Sox manager Alex Cora is not on board.

Cora reportedly rejected the proposal outright in internal meetings, stating:

“You don’t change the soul of this place for a check. Fenway is more than a name — it’s history, it’s home, it’s Boston.”

The reaction from within the Red Sox organisation was fast, with some current players and staff agreeing with Cora and voicing their displeasure with the prospect of changing one of Major League Baseball’s most beloved landmarks.

Fenway Park, which opened in 1912, is the oldest stadium in the MLB and holds near-mythical status among baseball fans. To many, renaming it — even for a cutting-edge sponsor like Tesla — would be tantamount to erasing over a century of tradition.

Fans, too, are divided. While some appreciate the concept of modernisation and Musk’s tech-forward vision, others have rushed to social media to vent their indignation, labelling the proposal “tone-deaf,” “corporate overreach,” and “sacrilegious.”

As of now, the Red Sox front office has not issued an official remark on the situation. It remains to be seen whether this concept acquires support or is permanently shelved, but one thing is certain: Fenway’s future has become the focal point of a very 21st-century argument.
