FLORIDA, IN – Miami Hurricanes Quarterback Judd Anderson Suffers Serious Injury During Practice
Miami, FL – The University of Miami football program

The University of Miami’s athletic department verified the incident, stating: “Judd Anderson sustained a significant injury during practice and is currently being evaluated by our medical staff.” Our major concern is Judd’s health and well-being, and we are providing him and his family with our full support at this time.”
Anderson, a highly regarded 6-foot-6 quarterback from Jones County High School in Georgia, joined the Hurricanes’ 2024 recruiting class. Anderson, known for his strong arm, pocket presence, and leadership potential, was expected to play an important role in the team’s long-term quarterback aspirations.
Though Anderson was not expected to start this season, coaches had praised his progress and work ethic during summer workouts. Head Coach Mario Cristobal expressed his concern and support for the young quarterback, noting that Anderson had made a strong impression on staff and teammates alike.
“Judd is a tough competitor and an outstanding young man,” Cristobal stated. “This is a tough moment, but we know he’ll face it with the same determination that got him here.”
The nature of Anderson’s injury and his recovery time are unknown. The institution claimed that more information will be revealed after further medical evaluations.
As the Hurricanes prepare for the upcoming season, the loss of Anderson—even temporarily—is a blow to their quarterback depth. Fans and teammates alike are hoping for a speedy and complete recovery for the promising freshman.
