As I sit down to write this letter, I’m filled with thanks, emotion, and pride. Looking back on this remarkable adventure, I am reminded that no rider stands alone at the starting gate, and no champion crosses the finish line without the assistance of countless individuals who made the ride possible. Today, I believe it is only appropriate to express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the love, support, and unshakable belief you have all shown me throughout my career.
To the entire Progressive Insurance ECSTAR Suzuki Racing team, words cannot express how much your trust in me has meant. From the mechanics who diligently prepared my bike to the engineers who pursued perfection with each tweak to the managers who stood with me in times of triumph and adversity, you have been more than a team; you have become my family. You offered more than just a racing machine; you also created an environment that promoted growth, resilience, and brilliance. Even when I was injured and had setbacks, you never gave up hope. Because of you, I have been able to compete at the greatest levels and pursue my aspirations with all that I have.
Thank you to the fans, the beating heart of our sport, for inspiring me. Whether you’ve cheered for me on the track, watched my career on television, or written me encouraging words during difficult times, please know that I’ve felt every ounce of that energy. Your desire motivates me. When I fell, your belief helped me get back up. When I won, your celebration sweetened the triumph. You’ve been on this trip with me, and every lap, jump, and podium finish was as much for you as for me.
To the larger Motocross and Supercross communities, I am honored to have been a part of such an extraordinary family. This sport is about more than just speed, talent, and glory. It is about community—a group that encourages its riders, rallies around one another in difficult times, and pushes the limits of what is possible on two wheels. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my passion on stage. Thank you for creating a culture of greatness that inspires riders like myself to strive for more.
As I look ahead, know that I’m carrying all of you with me. My dedication is as strong as ever: to race with passion, to give my all on and off the track, and to give back to the sport that has given me so much. Together, we’ve created something remarkable. And, no matter where the next chapter takes me, I will always be pleased to represent this amazing community.
