John Force Reflects on His Career, Life, and Family
John Force, the legendary drag racing champion and CEO of John Force Racing, has had an extraordinary career spanning over four decades. With 16 NHRA Funny Car championships to his name, Force has become a household name in motorsports. However, his journey hasn’t been without challenges.
Reflecting on his career, Force credits his success to determination and an unyielding passion for racing. “When I started, I didn’t have much. Just a dream and the willingness to work harder than anyone else,” he says. Despite facing financial struggles early on and several near-fatal crashes, Force remained steadfast. “Every setback taught me something. It made me tougher and more focused.”
Beyond the track, family has been the cornerstone of Force’s life. He takes immense pride in his daughters—Ashley, Brittany, and Courtney—who have followed in his footsteps and carved their paths in racing. “Seeing my girls succeed in a sport I love is the greatest feeling in the world,” Force shares. He also acknowledges the unwavering support of his wife, Laurie, who has been his rock through every twist and turn.
As CEO, Force emphasizes the importance of teamwork and innovation in keeping John Force Racing at the forefront of the NHRA. “It’s not just about me; it’s about the people who believe in our vision,” he states.
