Brilliant supporters and Arsenal WFC. To the Kelly community.
I am writing this letter today with a heart full of emotion, admiration and thanks for all the people that were part of my football journey. Football has always been more than a sport for me, it has been a platform, a dream and a purpose that has defined my life in ways that I will never be able to fully describe.
Thanks to Arsenal for providing me an environment to develop myself as a person and as a footballer. Every practice, every game, every obstacle; my self-confidence and character were built. It’s been an honour to wear this badge and I will be forever grateful for the opportunities, faith and support the club has shown me throughout my journey.
I want to thank the whole Kelly family for accepting me as a human being, not just an athlete. Football careers are full of highs and lows and one of the biggest joys of my life has been having a community that is never tired of encouraging and motivating me. I’ve been inspired to try for perfection every day by your devotion and your faith.
I also want to thank my teammates, coaches, medical personnel and all the people who work behind the scenes to make football happen. You don’t ever do it by yourself. I’ve been lucky enough to travel this great road with so many great people.
And every goal that I scored, every celebration that we had together, every obstacle that I overcame, meant something because of the people that stood behind me. We made memories together that I will always hold dearly.
I am filled with pride and thankfulness as I go on my way. “Arsenal, its supporters and the wider football community have shaped my career and the person I have become, with their love and support.
