The artist and sculptor behind a pair of Union Jack pants that went missing from a Jubilee street party last summer will be among those showcasing her artwork at the BS9 Art Trail in Bristol in June. Joanne Coughlan created the mosaic pair of Union Jack boxer shorts, lovingly named Jack, and displayed ‘him’ at a street party in Henleaze during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend last year.

She was left devastated when the sculpture she had spent the 2020 lockdown creating was ‘stolen’ and she even offered a £100 reward for ‘Jack’s’ return. However it turned out it had all just been the result of a case of mistaken sculpture identity.
