Francesco Bagnaia’s Epochal Open Letter to the Ducati Lenovo Team, Fans, and the MotoGP Community
To the Ducati Lenovo Team, my devoted followers, and the enthusiastic MotoGP community:
With enormous gratitude in my heart and emotion flowing through every word, I write this letter not only as Francesco Bagnaia the racer, but also as Pecco—the young boy who once dreamed of racing at the top level and now realizes that dream due to all of you.
To my Ducati family, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You accepted me, challenged me, trusted me, and helped me become the champion I am today. Ducati’s red is more than just a color; it represents a spirit, passion, and legacy. From the engineers and mechanics in the paddock to those at the plant in Borgo Panigale, you’ve been there for me through every twist of the throttle, win lap, and setback. We’ve made more than machinery; we’ve created history together. And it has been an utter honor to be a part of it.
To my supporters in Italy and around the world, you’ve raised me up at my lowest and celebrated me louder than ever at my highest. Your unfailing faith gave me the courage to keep trying even when the journey seemed difficult. You are a part of every podium, corner, and fight, whether you are in grandstands across countries or cheering from your own homes. I carry your enthusiasm with me every race weekend.
The MotoGP community—fellow riders, teams, organizers, media, and ardent supporters—has formed me. Competing against the greatest in the world, week after week, has been both humbling and motivating. This sport combines speed, art, precision, and heart—and being a part of it has been an honor of a lifetime. Rivalries motivate us, but respect bonds us. And as a result, not only have I improved as a racer, but also as a person.
Every race is about more than just the finish line; it’s about the road, sweat, sacrifice, and lessons learned. I’ve discovered that true power comes not just from successes, but also from losses that teach resilience and the people who help us rise again. You all provided me with the opportunity to grow, the courage to take risks, and the conviction to believe.
Looking back, I see a path full of hardships, but also wonderful achievements and moments that I will cherish forever. Looking ahead, I see more corners to master, records to chase, and reasons to give it my all.
