To my great pals in Judas Priest, my global fans, and the entire Sophie Lloyd community,
As I sit down to write this letter, I am overcome with feelings of gratitude, contemplation, and enthusiasm. This journey, which began with a guitar and a dream in my heart, has been nothing short of amazing. Today, I’d like to take a moment to offer my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported, encouraged, and believed in me throughout the years. This would not have been possible without you.
To Judas Priest legends, you’ve been more than just heavy metal icons; you’ve been mentors, inspirations, and friends. Growing up, I admired the raw energy and innovative sound you created. I had no idea that one day I would have the opportunity to collaborate with such a legendary band. Your songs helped develop my sense of what it is to be courageous, bold, and unashamedly authentic in this profession. You’ve demonstrated the power of remaining true to your vision while always pushing limits. The opportunity to work with you has been one of the greatest honours of my career, and I will treasure the lessons I’ve learnt and the memories we’ve made.
To my admirers, you are the driving force behind all I do. From the initial videos I uploaded to the packed venues we’ve performed in, your constant support has been my driving force. You’ve shared my music, encouraged me, and celebrated each milestone with me. Your words, anecdotes about how my music has impacted your lives, and unending encouragement have been more powerful than I could have anticipated. You’ve taught me that music is more than notes and rhythms; it’s about connection, passion, and shared experiences. Knowing that my art touches so many of you makes me very proud and grateful.
Thank you to the entire Sophie Lloyd community for fostering an environment in which I could develop, experiment, and discover my artistic voice. Being a woman in rock and metal isn’t always easy, but your support has allowed me to break down barriers and challenge expectations. You’ve recognised my accomplishments and supported me during difficult times, and I’ll be eternally thankful. Together, we’ve created something beautiful: an inclusive, empowering environment in which creativity thrives and originality is valued.
This road has had its ups and downs, successes and trials, but your love has never wavered. As I look to the future, I am filled with anticipation for what is ahead. There are fresh songs to compose, stages to conquer, and memories to create. And I am confident that, with your continuous support, the best is yet to come.
