An Open Letter from João Pedro to Brighton & Hove Albion FC and the Brighton Community

To everyone at Brighton & Hove Albion FC, the loyal fans, and the entire Brighton community:
As I look back on this past year, I feel nothing but gratitude. This city, this club, and every single one of you welcomed me with open arms and made it possible for me to grow—both as a footballer and as a person.
When I arrived at Brighton, I didn’t fully know what to expect. But very quickly, I found myself surrounded by support, encouragement, and a shared passion for the game that made me feel right at home. The coaching staff believed in me and gave me the platform to perform at my best. To them, I say thank you for your constant guidance and trust.
To my teammates: you’ve been like family. We’ve pushed each other, celebrated together, and lifted each other during hard times. Playing alongside such talented and hardworking individuals has been a true privilege.
To the fans: your unwavering support, whether we win or lose, means more than words can express. The energy you bring to every match at the Amex, the songs, the cheers, and the endless encouragement—it fuels us. Every goal I scored, every pass, every minute I spent on that pitch was inspired by your belief in me.
To the Brighton community: you’ve made life outside of football just as special. The warmth, the smiles, and the genuine kindness I’ve experienced around town made me feel part of something bigger. This isn’t just a football city—it’s a community that supports, uplifts, and believes in its people.
This season will forever be a meaningful part of my journey. I carry with me the lessons, the friendships, and the memories we’ve created together.
