Spartan Sensation Coen Carr Secures $55 Million Samsung Endorsement Deal, Donates $11 Million to Youth & Orphan Charities

East Lansing, MI — In a stunning development that has shaken the collegiate sports world, Michigan State Spartans basketball forward Coen Carr has inked a groundbreaking $55 million endorsement deal with global electronics giant Samsung. The monumental partnership makes Carr one of the most commercially valuable college athletes in history under the NCAA’s Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) guidelines.

But the headlines don’t stop at the eye-popping dollar amount. In a remarkable show of character and generosity, the 6-foot-6 high-flying forward announced that he would donate a combined $11 million of his new earnings to two causes close to his heart: $5 million to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, a renowned youth development organization, and $6 million to “Hearts of Home,” a Michigan-based orphanage that supports displaced and vulnerable children.

An NIL Deal for the Ages

The partnership with Samsung was revealed Thursday morning in a joint press release from the tech conglomerate and Carr’s management team. The multi-year deal includes a signature line of Samsung smart devices and exclusive appearances in international advertising campaigns. Carr will also collaborate with the company on youth tech initiatives in underserved communities—a cause he personally advocated for in contract discussions.

“This isn’t just about basketball. This is about using my platform to uplift others and make a lasting difference,” Carr said during a press conference at the Breslin Center. “Samsung saw that vision and believed in it. I couldn’t be more excited.”

Samsung’s Vice President of Global Marketing, Ji-Ho Kim, praised Carr’s maturity, star power, and authenticity. “Coen Carr is not just an incredible athlete—he’s a visionary. He embodies the energy, innovation, and heart that Samsung values. We are thrilled to welcome him to the Samsung family.”

Giving Back: $11 Million to Youth and Orphaned Children

Coen Carr’s dual donations—$5 million to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and $6 million to Hearts of Home Orphanage—are among the largest philanthropic gifts ever made by a current NCAA athlete. His representatives confirmed that the donations would be distributed in a structured plan to ensure long-term sustainability and growth for both organizations.
