Aidan Knaak Makes Clemson Baseball History with Back-to-Back First-Team All-ACC Honors
Sophomore right-hander Aidan Knaak has etched his name into Clemson baseball history as the only pitcher ever to earn First-Team All-ACC honors in each of his first two seasons with the Tigers.
Knaak burst onto the scene in 2024 as a freshman and immediately established himself as a dominant presence on the mound. His poise, command, and competitiveness helped fuel a strong season for the Tigers. He finished his debut year with a 5–1 record, 2.96 ERA, and an impressive 97 strikeouts over 76 innings. His performance not only helped Clemson in key conference matchups but also earned him All-ACC recognition—a rare feat for a freshman pitcher.
But Knaak wasn’t done. In 2025, he elevated his game even further. Taking on the role of Friday night starter, Knaak led the team with 15 starts, 88 innings pitched, and 103 strikeouts. Whether facing top-ranked ACC lineups or delivering in pressure-packed moments, Knaak was a model of consistency. Once again, the conference took notice, and he was named First-Team All-ACC for the second straight year.
No Clemson pitcher—through decades of storied baseball—has ever started their career with back-to-back First-Team All-ACC honors. That fact alone places Knaak in elite company, not just at Clemson, but in the ACC as a whole.
As the Tigers continue their postseason run and build for future seasons, Knaak remains a cornerstone of the program. His performance on the field speaks volumes, but it’s his relentless work ethic and leadership that have made him a fan favorite and a respected figure in the clubhouse.
With two All-ACC seasons already under his belt, the sky is the limit for Aidan Knaak—and Clemson baseball is better for it.
