Zion Williamson Accused of Rape and Abuse in New Lawsuit
New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson is facing serious allegations after a woman identified as Jane Doe filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court accusing him of rape, abuse, and exploitation. The lawsuit claims the alleged incidents occurred over a five-year period, from 2018 to 2023, beginning when Williamson was a student at Duke University.
According to the lawsuit, Jane Doe alleges that Williamson sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions, including two alleged rapes in 2020. The woman also accuses him of physical violence, emotional manipulation, and financial control, stating she suffered long-term trauma due to the abuse. She is seeking between $18 million and $50 million in damages for what she describes as “severe and lasting harm.”
Williamson’s legal team has denied all allegations, calling the claims “false, malicious, and financially motivated.” They assert that the relationship between Williamson and the accuser was consensual and casual, and claim she only pursued legal action after Williamson ended the relationship and refused her alleged demands for money. His attorneys have also reported what they describe as “extortion attempts” by the woman to authorities and are preparing to file a counterclaim.
This lawsuit adds to an already turbulent off-court image for Williamson. In 2023, adult film actress Moriah Mills publicly accused him of paying her to keep their relationship secret and claimed he physically assaulted her. Mills also alleged that Williamson owed her thousands of dollars and threatened to release intimate videos. She has since consulted with high-profile attorney Tony Buzbee for potential legal action.
The recent developments have sparked public debate and media scrutiny, as fans and analysts alike await more information. No criminal charges have been filed at this stage, and Williamson continues to deny all allegations through his legal representatives.
As the case unfolds, the outcome could have significant legal and personal consequences for Williamson, whose NBA future and public image may hang in the balance.
