No. 1 Wide Receiver in America, Five-Star LSU Commit Tristen Keys to Visit ACC Power Miami
Tristen Keys, the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2026 recruiting class and a five-star LSU commit, is scheduled to take an official visit to the University of Miami this weekend, signaling that his recruitment may still be open despite his early pledge to the Tigers.
Keys, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound standout from Hattiesburg High School in Mississippi, committed to LSU in March 2025 after a dominant junior campaign. He posted 58 receptions for 1,275 yards and 14 touchdowns, leading his team to a 13-1 record. His size, athleticism, and polished route-running have made him the consensus top receiver in the country and one of the most coveted prospects overall.
Though he’s been solid in his verbal commitment to LSU, Keys has not closed the door on other programs. Alongside the upcoming official visit to Miami, he has already taken unofficial trips to Texas A&M, Auburn, and Ole Miss. His latest move to explore Miami indicates that the ACC powerhouse remains firmly in the mix.
In interviews, Keys has emphasized his drive for constant improvement. “Everything I am good at, I want to be great at,” he said recently. “I want to get better overall. I want to be a better route runner; I’ve gotten better at that, but I can get even better.”
LSU head coach Brian Kelly and his staff will need to continue building a strong relationship with Keys, especially as rival schools try to flip the elite talent. For Miami, this visit is a key opportunity to show Keys how he could fit into Mario Cristobal’s vision for the Hurricanes and potentially become a cornerstone of their offense.
As one of the top overall prospects in the 2026 class, Tristen Keys’ recruitment is drawing national attention. With visits still ongoing and top programs circling, LSU will have to work hard to keep their prized wide receiver locked in through National Signing Day.
