April 12, 2025 | Baton Rouge, LA — Legendary college football coach Nick Saban has earned yet another prestigious honor in his storied career. The former LSU head coach has been officially named to the 2025 class of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.

Saban, who served as head coach at LSU from 2000 to 2004, led the Tigers to a national championship in 2003 and played a pivotal role in reestablishing LSU as a powerhouse in college football. During his time in Baton Rouge, Saban compiled a 48–16 record and set the foundation for sustained success at the program.

“Being recognized by the state of Louisiana and its sports community means a great deal to me,” Saban said in a statement. “My years at LSU were some of the most rewarding in my career, and I’m honored to be joining so many incredible athletes and coaches in the Hall of Fame.”

Saban’s impact on Louisiana sports extends beyond wins and championships — his leadership, discipline, and dedication to excellence helped inspire a new generation of athletes and coaches.

The induction ceremony is set to take place later this summer in Natchitoches, Louisiana, where Saban will join an esteemed group of honorees representing a wide range of sports achievements across the state.
