Dear Minnesota,
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
When I initially arrived in the State of Hockey, I was a Russian youngster with high dreams and few English words. I wasn’t sure what to anticipate. I wasn’t sure how I’d be accepted. What I found in Minnesota was more than simply a team or a city; I discovered family, purpose, and a place to call home.

You welcomed me with open arms. You made me feel seen, heard, and supported from the first moment I put on the Wild jersey. Whether I was scoring my first NHL goal or having a rough night on the field, your faith in me never wavered. I want you to know that I felt it. I still feel it whenever I take the ice.
Thank you to the Minnesota Wild organization for your vision and belief in me. Thank you for your patience as I developed overseas. For believing that I could contribute something special to this team and city. You’ve surrounded me with fantastic coaches, teammates, and support staff who have helped develop me into the player I am today—and the person I am proud to be off the ice.
To my teammates, you are my brothers. Each one of you has taught me something. We’ve pushed one another, held one another accountable, and fought for something greater than ourselves. I am grateful for every shift we’ve taken, every struggle we’ve overcome, and every moment of happiness we’ve earned. We are creating something real and lasting, and I am thrilled to be a part of it.
To the fans, you are the heartbeat of our squad. Every goal celebration, every “Let’s Go Wild” chant at Xcel Energy Center, every handcrafted sign from youngsters who believe in dreams—I carry it all with me. You made Minnesota feel like home in ways that words cannot fully express. You support more than simply the athlete; you have adopted the person. And for that, I am eternally grateful.

To the Minnesota community, thank you for teaching me about humility, resilience, and heart. This location shaped me. I see how proud you are of hockey here. It lives in the rinks, the schools, and the families that devote their time to raising the next generation. You’ve given me more than just a stage; you’ve given me a legacy to live up to.
I promise you that my journey with the Wild isn’t over. The fire inside me is still burning. I hope to bring a title to this city. You’ve believed in me every step of the way; now let us go after greatness together.
With gratefulness, affection, and wild pride.
