Duke basketball has solidified its position as the top recruiting program for the 2025 class with the commitment of four-star power forward Sebastian Wilkins. A 6-foot-8, 215-pound prospect from Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, Wilkins reclassified from the 2026 to the 2025 class before announcing his commitment to the Blue Devils over Maryland.

Sebastian was previously ranked No. 32 in the 2026 class, but following his reclassification, he now stands at No. 35 overall and No. 7 among power forwards in the 2025 rankings, according to 247Sports. His commitment is the latest addition to an already loaded Duke class and helped propel Jon Scheyer’s group to the No. 1 spot nationally in the 2025 recruiting rankings.

He joins a star-studded Duke recruiting class that includes five-star power forward Cameron Boozer, four-star point guard Cayden Boozer, five-star wing Dame Sarr, and five-star forward Nikolas Khamenia. With this class, Duke boasts a combination of size, versatility, and skill across every position, ensuring a deep and balanced roster for the future.

Known for his athleticism, defensive instincts, and developing offensive game, Wilkins adds valuable frontcourt depth to the Blue Devils.

He is praised for his rebounding ability, high motor, and ability to stretch the floor with his jump shot. His style of play fits well with Duke’s up-tempo, defense-oriented approach under Scheyer.

The addition of Wilkins comes on the heels of Duke securing international five-star talent Dame Sarr, further highlighting Scheyer’s success on the recruiting trail. Since taking over for Mike Krzyzewski, Scheyer has consistently landed elite talent, and the 2025 class continues that trend.

Wilkins’ commitment is seen as a strategic move, both for his development and for Duke’s national title aspirations. His decision to reclassify and join this group early reflects his readiness to compete at the highest level of college basketball.

With the 2025 class now featuring five blue-chip recruits, Duke is well-positioned to remain a powerhouse in the college basketball landscape for years to come.
