Netflix and ABC News to Release a Documentary on Carson Beck and Georgia Football Legacy in Fall 2024 Netflix and ABC News have announced an upcoming documentary about Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck’s legacy and the football program’s illustrious history.
The film, titled Between the Hedges: The Carson Beck Story, will premiere in Fall 2024, taking an in-depth look at Beck’s path and the Bulldogs’ domination in collegiate football.
The documentary will follow Beck’s journey from a high school star in Jacksonville, Florida, to a crucial leader for the Bulldogs. It will look at his progress as a quarterback, his leadership on and off the field, and his role in keeping Georgia a Southeastern Conference powerhouse.
In addition to focussing on Beck, the documentary will honour Georgia football’s greater past, including national championships, famous rivalries, and the devoted fandom that has made Sanford Stadium an iconic college sports arena. Exclusive interviews with Beck, head coach Kirby Smart, former players, and staff will provide fresh perspectives on what makes the Bulldogs’ program so remarkable.
ABC News President Kim Godwin referred to the initiative as “a celebration of resilience, teamwork, and the relentless pursuit of excellence that defines Georgia football.” According to James Wilcox, Head of Documentaries at Netflix, “This story transcends sports—it’s about legacy, leadership, and inspiring the next generation.”
Carson Beck was excited about the documentary, adding, “It’s an honour to represent Georgia football.
