Mitchell Marner is a Canadian professional ice hockey player, known for his elite playmaking skills and high hockey IQ. Born on May 5, 1997, in Markham, Ontario, Marner currently plays as a right winger and alternate captain for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the NHL. Drafted fourth overall by the Leafs in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, he quickly became one of the league’s most dynamic offensive talents.
Before joining the NHL, Marner starred with the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), where he led the team to a Memorial Cup championship in 2016. That same year, he was awarded the Red Tilson Trophy as the OHL’s most outstanding player, as well as the CHL Player of the Year. His junior career was marked by dazzling skill, vision, and leadership.
