To the Philadelphia Phillies organization, my teammates, the incredible Philadelphia fans and the entire Phillies family,
As I look back at my baseball career and all of the amazing moments I’ve had with this amazing organization, I am so thankful for the love, support and belief you have shown me throughout the years. “To be able to wear the Phillies uniform has been one of the greatest privileges of my professional career and I remain incredibly thankful for every opportunity, difficulty and moment we have shared.
From the time I got here, you could feel the passion and the life that makes Philadelphia and its fans so special. I want to thank my teammates for our shared fraternity, trust and perseverance through each season. Baseball is a team game that requires sacrifice and perseverance and I’ve been blessed to play with people who inspire me to give everything I have to the game and this city day in and day out. The memories of the times we had together, the victories we shared and the challenges we faced will always be some of the most important moments of my life.
Philadelphia fans, your passion is second to none. It’s in every victory and every trying time that your devotion and unflinching support never waver. Every time I hit the field your energy inspires me to compete with heart, pride and determination. The atmosphere you create at every game is incredible. You always brought me into this city, and I will always thank you for it.
