To Imagine Dragons’ members, our amazing global fan base, and the pop rock community as a whole,
With sincere thanks, introspection, and admiration for the adventure we have taken together over the years, I write this open letter. The love, support, and faith that have propelled this band from modest beginnings to platforms we once only dreamed of overwhelm me as I reflect on everything we have created.
Thank you to my bandmates. You are brothers in life and music, not just partners. Each song we have written together contains elements of our challenges, successes, uncertainties, and development. Every moment has been influenced by trust, creativity, and a common goal, from late-night writing sessions to international tours.
We didn’t spend the night here. Our perseverance, vulnerability, and unwavering faith in the ability of music to unite people beyond boundaries, languages, and distinctions brought us to this point. Everything we do has been driven by this belief.
To all of the fans: you are the reason this voyage is taking place. Words will never adequately convey the significance of your voices in the crowd, your encouraging comments, and your accounts of how the music has impacted your lives. You transformed concerts into times of joy, healing, and unity, and songs into memories.
Throughout my life and profession, there were moments when I felt insecure, overburdened by expectations and personal struggles. However, music—as well as your encouragement—became a lifeline during those times. You reminded me that being vulnerable is a sign of strength rather than weakness.
We are grateful to the larger pop rock community for embracing us, pushing us, and motivating us. Being a member of this genre entails being surrounded by performers that put their all into storytelling, sound, and passion. It is a privilege to be a part of an environment that is always changing while maintaining its foundation in expression and sincerity.
We’ve always thought that music ought to be truthful. It ought to address suffering, hope, love, grief, and all points in between. Our future is still being shaped by this belief, which has led us from the start.
My simple wish is that we keep making meaningful music as we go. music that makes one feel visible. music that provides solace throughout trying times. music that serves as a reminder that we are all not really alone.
We would want to express our gratitude to everyone who has shared in our adventure, whether they have been involved from the start or are just now learning about our music. Every song, every performance, and every stage of this journey have meaning because of you.
You are the reason we are who we are.
With unending appreciation and respect,
Reynolds, Dan
