“Thank you to all those I have spoken to including the incredible supporters, my team-mates, coaches, staff and the global football family,

As I pause to reflect on the path that football has led me down, my heart is full of thankfulness, reflection and emotion.

At that time I had no idea that pursuing this desire as a young girl in Australia would lead to some of the most memorable experiences of my life. I never imagined I would play in front of the most passionate fans worldwide, wear the badge of a club as iconic as Chelsea and create unforgettable moments with people who became like family.

Football gave my life a new purpose.

I want to thank the Chelsea family for believing in me from the very start. Thank you for providing me with an environment where I can grow both personally and as a football player. All the practices, all the games, all the hurdles, all the victories and all the struggles made me the person I am today.

Crazy Goal Celebrations by Sam Kerr!

I’ve always felt it’s an honour to represent this team.

I want to thank my teammates for our friendship, trust, sacrifices, humor and priceless experiences. Football is never a one-man job. Every goal, every trophy, every memorable occasion comes from a team of individuals that constantly challenge each other to get better. I will always treasure the relationship we built.

I may never be able to adequately express my gratitude to the fans for their support throughout my career. Your love survived victories, pains, losses, strains and bittersweet days. Through the best and the worst, you were by my side. So many times when I saw your banners, heard your voices and felt your energy, it gave me strength.

“You brought a sense of familiarity to Stamford Bridge.

“Thank you to the wider football family for continuing to promote and uplift the women’s game around the world. “The game has grown so much in the last couple of years and I’m honored to be a part of this amazing time. “This sport is still opening doors that didn’t seem possible before, so now young girls everywhere can dream bigger.”

Football has taught me lessons, made me memories, know grief, joy, resiliency, and purpose.

Sometimes pressure weighed on me, sometimes injury tested me, sometimes doubt crept in. But the support I got along the way was a reminder of why I fell in love with this game in the first place.

I will be forever eternally grateful to everyone who helped me along the way.

Whatever the future holds I will always have a special place in my heart for Chelsea and its supporters.

With love, thanks and everlasting admiration,
